“Good morning and happy new month with our new song, written by my beloved Nikos Portokaloglou! “Two Parallel Roads”, which have finally brought us to the same shore!”
With these words Alkistis Protopsalti welcomed October and their new song, with lyrics and music by Nikos Portokaloglou. It is the first song the two have recorded together, following their joint summer tour across Greece and Cyprus.
As Nikos Portokaloglou himself writes:
“I had in mind the parallel roads we have been following for several decades without ever meeting, and I wanted this song to be the celebration of our meeting. […] This celebration turned out calm, wandering and tender, just like this year’s summer tour and our friendship.”
