Alkistis Protopsalti Sworn in as Deputy Minister of Tourism
Alkistis Protopsalti was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Tourism in the new caretaker government, which assumed office on Friday, August 28, 2015.
During the handover ceremony held at the Ministry of Tourism, Alkistis Protopsalti emphasized the importance of tourism for the national economy, describing it as the heavy industry of the country. She noted that her aim is to contribute with all her strength to the efforts for further development of the sector in our country, stating: "My personal belief has been and continues to be that the tourism of our country is the heart of Greece, which must beat strongly all over the world. In this context, I will act now with a sense of responsibility and pride."
