On February 11, 12, 13, and in two additional concerts on February 15 and 16, 2016, Alkistis Protopsalti will perform at the Megaron Concert Hall in Athens in a different musical meeting… with time. With her unique voice perfectly blending with the wonderful sound of the mandolins this time, she will gift us with songs from the beginning of her artistic journey to the present, songs filled with nostalgia, romantic sounds, strength, and emotion!
On this deeply emotional musical path, Alkistis Protopsalti makes a significant stop at her youthful steps, when she met Giannis Spanos and Ilia Andriopoulos, continuing with Stamatios Kraounakis, Dimitra Galani, and Goran Bregovic, approaching the present with Nikos Antypas, Stefanos Korkolis, and Evanthia Rempoutsika. Songs bearing the titles of her discography such as "Exit of Danger", "I Admitted", "I Roam and Carry Arms", "Like a Volcano Awakening" and other beloved tracks give a strong mark of her significant journey.
On this melodic journey, we will remember, dream, and encounter songs that have patiently waited to shine again, but this time with a different sound....
Alkistis Protopsalti will be accompanied on stage by the MandolinARTE string orchestra. Along with them are esteemed musicians: Thomas Kontogeorgis (piano, arrangements), Angelos Jamarias (trombone), and Alexis Kostas (percussion).
George Karadimos will participate in singing.
