This summer, Alkistis Protopsalti meets Stavros Xarchakos!
The opportunity arose from the audience itself during the concert of “WE CAN ALL DO IT” at Kallimarmaro, where their enthusiasm "demanded" a broader collaboration from the two great artists.
This year, it’s a reality!

Stavros Xarchakos will be on stage with Alkistis Protopsalti in a program he will conduct, during which the most beautiful songs of his will be performed, colored by the delicate and precise interpretation of the singer.
The journey begins on June 24 at the Pankritio Stadium in Heraklion, organized by the University of Crete as part of the celebration of its 40 years of operation, followed by a series of concerts in open theaters and special venues, culminating in a grand concert at the Herodes Atticus Theater in September! Immediately after, performances outside the borders will be scheduled.
Along with them in Crete will be a nine-member orchestra consisting of selected musicians.

A few words about the University of Crete
The University of Crete is celebrating this year 40 years since the entry of its first students. This anniversary includes a series of events in the two cities housing the activities of the Foundation. Among them is a concert-offering to the Cretan society, which has stood by the University all these decades, to be held at the Pankritio Stadium on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 21:30, in Heraklion, with Stavros Xarchakos and Alkistis Protopsalti.
Admission will have a symbolic price. The proceeds will be allocated to support needy students of the University.
