Alkistis has been a leading figure in the Greek music scene for over four decades, with numerous gold and platinum records to her name, countless concerts and performances—not only in Greece but also in some of the best theaters and opera houses around the world: America, Australia, China, Cuba, Egypt, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Israel, Canada, Cyprus, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Russia, and Sweden are among the countries where she has shared the songs and culture of Greece. Explosive, dynamic, and tender, she captivates with her performances while also energizing audiences with her Mediterranean temperament. She has collaborated with the most significant Greek composers, lyricists, and directors. Her performances are innovative, and her stage presence is unique.
She has represented Greece globally at many official events, including the European Union Leaders' Summit, the European Union Foreign Ministers' Summit, the celebration of 35 years of Greek-Chinese friendship at the Forbidden City Theatre in Beijing, the reopening celebration of the Library of Alexandria, at the Expo exhibitions in Lisbon and Berlin, and at official events of the Patriarchate in both Halki and Istanbul. She has also performed at the Metropolitan Museum in New York and the Moscow Opera, always conveying her country's music and culture in her unique way. She consistently receives rave reviews.
She has collaborated with many prestigious orchestras, such as the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Presidential Symphony of the Kremlin, the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Tekfen Philharmonic, and the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra, among others. She participated in the torch relay and the closing ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games, as well as in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Special Olympics, where she sang the Olympic Anthem alongside the famous Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo.
