The honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa was awarded to the great interpreter, Alkistis Protopsalti, and the distinguished Greek-American actress, screenwriter, and director, Melina Kanakaridi, by a foreign university.
The two artists, with their remarkable careers in the artistic fields they are active in, were honored for their overall contribution to culture and society.
The award ceremony took place at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall during the university's graduation ceremony.
